I Awake (album) - Sarah Blasko

This is the fourth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko.

The single “Cast the net” off the album Awake is an excellent example of what Sarah Blasko has to offer.

The single opens acappella and evolves into a beautifully crafted piece of music.

Her voice is very different to what we are used to hearing but shows exellence nonetheless.

She demonstrates control, elegance and passion which can be heard through her voice and through the music.

She expresses herself continually through the song with exceptional lyrics which can truly touch your heart.

Another single on the album, released in April, is "God Fearing".
The song can touch anyone who has experiences of ever being bullied. It is a warm song with a beutiful melody but with strong lyrics and a menacing tone.

Still Young (single) - Shirock

Shirock are a Nashville-based husband and wife pop/rock duo, Pap and Church Shirock.

The single “Still Young” from the album Everything Burns, released on August 26, is very catchy, filled with passion and expression.

Before becoming musicians they had their own clothing brand called “Irock clothing”, which gave them a creative outlet and was the driving vehicle for ideas in their music.
They have toured all over America and have travelled over to the UK last October for their first performance.

Their album Everything Burns follows the release of this single, "Still Young", which is about how to find hope with doubt and uncertainty in your mind.

A great single, if you like the pop/rock genre definitely give this a listen.

“Still young” is out on Monday, July 29.
