The reopening of Denbigh’s town library as the site’s refurbishment nears its conclusion.

Residents will be able to see the results of the work funded by Denbighshire County Council and the Welsh Government when the library reopens to the public on Monday, June 25.

The library’s temporary relocation at Eirianfa closed on Thursday, June 14 at 1pm whilst the final preparations for the opening of the main library take place. During this time, library users will be able to access alternative facilities in Ruthin and St Asaph.

Richard Mainon, Cabinet Lead Member for Developing Community Infrastructure, said: “We’re delighted to continue our investment in libraries and I’m sure that library users in Denbigh are eagerly awaiting the re-opening to see the work that has progressed.

“We have continued to provide a temporary library over recent weeks but we need to close this to allow the relocation back to the main library.

“We would like to thank people for their patience and understanding and look forward to welcoming people back to our modern, refurbished library later this month. We’re confident it’ll be worth the wait.”
