SOME parts of Denbighshire received more than a dusting of snow this weekend with parts of the county receiving several inches.

Dyfan Parry, from the Ponderosa, said: "We did manage to get open, there was quite a bit of snow, perhaps two or three inches at a rough guess at least.

"We had a few people pop in, a lot of families took the chance to go out sledging."

Llyn Brenig also received a dusting of snow.

Lyz Davies, 43, who runs the Vale View holiday apartment in Prestatyn visited to walk her dog.

"There was about two to three inches there on average, it had definitely snowed that much and where it hadn't melted it was a bit deeper.

"It was a little sleety in places, but it certainly was a bit of a surprise when we saw it; there was no snow at all in Prestatyn and we went over the hill it was all white as far as you could see.

"It's lovely to be able to get out to see our beautiful countryside and Llyn Brenig was beautiful in the snow."
