A DOUBLE lane closure was in place on the A55 after a vehicle fire.
The incident occurred on the eastbound carriageway at about 9am on Thursday and lanes one and two were closed between B5429 (Rhuallt / Waen) to J29 (Pant-Y-Dulath).
Traffic was held until the fire services dealt with the fire, and there was a short rolling road block westbound.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Two appliances were called at 8.59am to a vehicle fire at the top of Rhuallt Hill.
"Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and the stop called was called at 9.36am.
"The A55 was temporarily closed by police – west and eastbound."
Congestion remained in the area until about 11am.
