ST ASAPH City FC has confirmed Barry Owen as its new manager.
It follows the Ardal North West League side losing previous boss Matthew Roberts to Prestatyn Town.
Liam Groves will be Owen’s assistant, stepping up from being St Asaph City’s reserve team manager.
Chairman Dean Martin said: “I’m happy to welcome Barry to St Asaph City.
“Barry came up with some good ideas, but not wanting to unsettle what we have at the club already, Barry liked the ideas we have, as well, to move forward.
“Liam has put in a lot of time and effort as reserve manager, which has not gone unnoticed, so we felt it was time for him to step up to the senior time.”
Owen added: “When Dean approached me during the week to ask what I thought about coming on board, after that initial conversation, it got me excited for football again.
“I’m excited to continue the great work that’s been done here over the last 18 months or so.
“I believe there’s already a talented group of players here that I can help improve and challenge for honours.
