Growing up, summers always seemed hot and filled with any excuse for big social occasions.
Communities would come together for fetes, carnivals and parades.
Queens were crowned, games were won, and mountains of cake was eaten.
Last year we missed out on this tradition but hopefully when we can hold such events again, they'll be bigger and better than ever.
Today we look back at the floats and fun of the Denbigh carnival in 1980.
Did you miss? Denbigh carnival 1983.
Are you pictured? Hopefully you can you spot yourself or friends.
Do you have photos from the past you would like to share? And of course, they can be any event, from any time, any year.
Old school class pictures, how an area used to look or perhaps a day out to a local attraction.
Maybe your Scout, Brownies or sports group with a win or trip, a village carnival or special celebration.
Or simply a family photo from decades back.
