HAUNTED Halloween history looks set to bring 'spooktacular' entertainment to the region this October.
Ghosts, ghouls and witches emerge from the shadows as Cadw offers a series of Halloween hair-raisers at historic sites across North Wales.
From frightening paranormal encounters at Plas Mawr to pumpkin carving and mask-making at Beaumaris Castle, there are six spine-tingling events on offer.
Discover the paranormal at Plas Mawr, in Conwy. Now a popular tourist destination, the Elizabethan townhouse boasts centuries of secrets.
This Halloween, those who dare, can join Gwynedd Paranormal Investigations on one of four late-night explorations of Plas Mawr’s historic walls.
Using specialist ghost hunting equipment, attendees can track down the source of unexplained shadows and breezes and delve into the supernatural with glass divination and table tipping experiments.

is on from 8pm – 11pm, from Monday, October 28 until Thursday, October 31,
Tickets are £25 per person for standard entry and £22.50 for Cadw members. The events are limited to 20 places per session and not suitable for children under the age of 16.
You can join also join a creepy tour of Conwy Castle. Brave visitors will find themselves peering around the darkened corners or following ghostly voices to the towers.

A barber surgeon is waiting for brave visitors at Harlech Castle. There is a chance to discover the gruesome world of medieval medicine. Prepare for things to get messy as visitors get to see some scary surgery. There is also the chance to see the historic implements surgeons used in days gone by, including a look at some blood-sucking leeches.

Enjoy a day of Halloween fun at Rhuddlan Castle. Guests of all ages are invited to the castle for a day of arts and crafts, spooky stories and quizzes. Wear your scariest costume, and there are Halloween treats in store.

Beaumaris Castle hosts Halloween-themed craft sessions. Carve a pumpkin or make a mask for trick or treating. There is also a creepy trail, with prizes available for brave families who find all the answers.
Spooky Halloween at Beaumaris Castle is on from 10am – 5pm, on Thursday, October 31.
A menacing witch is casting spells at Criccieth Castle, and site custodians need the help of brave visitors to stop her.
Families can join a spooky quest through the castle grounds with a special prize available for the first 100 children to complete the trail.
