CAMPAIGNS are gathering pace ahead of this December's general election.
These are the candidates standing for the Clwyd West constituency:
David Jones is standing for the Welsh Conservatives.
Joanne Thomas has been selected for Welsh Labour.
David James Compton Wilkins is standing for the Liberal Democrats and Huw Elfed Williams has been chosen for Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales.
Mr Jones is of Colwyn Bay. He initially revealed that he would not be standing in the general election before having a change of heart.
Mr Jones has been the Member of Parliament or Clwyd West since 2005. He has held several ministerial posts in Westminster; most recently as Minister of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union and prior to that as Secretary of State for Wales.
Mrs Thomas is from Ruthin. The mum-of-two, who owned a ladies fashion shop, has been a grassroots campaigner for the Labour Party for about two decades and is vice chair of the Clwyd West constituency.
Mr Wilkins, if selected, will 'demand' better for communities and champion an open, liberal and prosperous Britain.
Mr Williams, a director of the CADMHAS mental health charity, describes himself as a “staunch Remainer” candidate.
He said he will fight "tooth and nail for the people of his constituency".
A poll will be taken on Thursday, December 12 between 7am and 10pm.
