Police called to a bust-up involving a couple had been told by a two-year-old child: "Daddy hit mummy,” a court heard.
Magistrates at Llandudno were told by prosecutor James Neary that the woman victim had been grabbed by the throat and punched about ten times until she wet herself.
The child had been crying.
The victim had swelling and bruising to the head.
But she had retracted her statement about her ordeal, Mr Neary added.
Sean Williams, aged 32, of Vale Street, Denbigh, admitted common assault at the town in October.
He was bailed until sentencing on March 6 because the cells at the court weren’t available, if he were jailed.
His defence hasn’t yet been outlined.
Court chairman Darren Campbell told Williams : "We can’t rule out an immediate custodial sentence.”
