PLAID Cymru has cancelled its Spring Conference set to be held in Llangollen amid concerns over the spread of Coronavirus.
The conference was scheduled to take place at Llangollen Pavilion on March 20-21.
A party spokesperson said the decision to cancel the event followed "lengthy and careful consideration" of WHO advice.
It came just hours before the first case of Coronavirus in North Wales was confirmed in Wrexham on Wednesday afternoon, bringing the total number of cases in Wales to 25.
A Plaid Cymru party statement said: "After lengthy and careful consideration Plaid Cymru has decided to cancel its Spring Conference on March 20-21.
"It isn't a decision that was taken lightly, especially with only 14 months until the Senedd Election.
"However, the health and wellbeing of our members, supporters and stakeholders is of paramount importance.
"Plaid Cymru has heeded the latest public health advice – particularly from the World Health Organisation that 'urgent and aggressive' action is taken.
"We believe that cancelling the Conference is the most responsible course of action for the party to take in the current circumstances."
