RUTHIN Gaol staff have confirmed that the site will remain closed indoors for the rest of the year due to flood damage.
Back in January, several businesses and homes in the town were hit by severe flooding as Storm Christoph badly affected the region.
People were evacuated from their homes and others have been working hard ever since to put things right.
Among those hit was the town's Gaol - the inside of which will now remain closed to the public for the remainder of 2021.
But, outdoor tours will begin on site next month.
A statement read: " Please note that due to extensive flood damage we are sorry to announce that Ruthin Gaol will remain closed indoors for the rest of 2021.
"HOWEVER, from Wednesday June 2 2021, we will be holding FREE outdoor tours of the prison buildings and exercise yards, plus our Shop will be open. Tours will take place at 11am and 2pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from Wednesday 2nd June - no booking required."
