A BUSINESS inspired by bushy beards and the great outdoors has now set up camp in Llangollen.
Bearded Men Adventures, formed in 2018 by Jason Rickwood and Hugh Luckock, opened up on Parade Street on Thursday, July 15.
And, despite the masculine name of their business, they cater for all - including whole hen do and stag do weekends.
They are one of the only companies that can provide accommodation, catering, adventure and activities all in one place.
Bearded Men Adventures help guests from the moment they book, to the drive away after an epic weekend built for their needs.
Among the multi-day adventure activities they provide throughout North Wales are white water rafting, coasteering, river tubing down the River Dee in Llangollen and even archery and axe throwing.
Joint-owner of the business Jason, originally from Brynmawr in South Wales, said: "The big thing for us is our niche of taking care of stag and hen do's.
"The business started out when me and Hugh, who are best mates and both worked in the outdoor industry, came together three years ago and said 'let's go for it'.
"The demand has been there ever since really and the base in Llangollen now just gives us an opportunity for staff to get together and to allow people to come directly to us.
"Our name is obviously a bit out there but we do cater for absolutely everyone. We're just two bearded men taking people on an adventure!"
Before setting up shop in Llangollen, business for Bearded Men Adventures was carried out remotely.
Despite lockdown affecting business initially, Jason says it has flourished and has seen its workforce grow from just employing himself and Hugh to including six other members of staff.
He said: "Our first week here has been really well-responded to and we're getting a lot of attention on social media too.
"We've received nothing but five star reviews on trip advisor to date - which some people may think is dodgy - but it's all 100% genuine on there. We pride ourselves on giving customers a genuine experience. Our motto is 'minimum hassle, maximum fun'."
