MORE than four-in-five adults in Denbighshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
Public Health Wales data shows 68,541 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to October 31 – 84 per cent of the area's adults.
They make up part of the 71,486 people who have been given at least one jab – 87 per cent of the over-18 population.
Figures also show 1,543 16 and 17-year-olds in Denbighshire (69 per cent of the age group) and 1,498 12 to 15-year-olds (29 per cent) had received a first dose by then.
The data on second doses for each age group in the area shows:
16 to 17, 524 administered (23%); 18 to 29, 9,100 administered (69%); 30 to 39, 7,799 administered (69%); 40 to 49, 9,305 administered (81%); 50 to 54, 6,492 administered (88%); 55 to 59, 6,914 administered (90%); 60 to 64, 6,284 administered (92%); 65 to 69, 5,791 administered (94%); 70 to 74, 6,429 administered (96%); 75 to 79, 4,590 administered (96%); 80 and over, 5,837 administered (96%).
Across Wales, 2.2 million people have had both doses, equating to 82 per cent of the over-12 population, while 2.4 million (89 per cent) have had at least one dose and 433,348 people (16 per cent) have had a booster vaccination.
The rates have been updated using recently released 2020 mid-year population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
