A TREE planting day planned for the weekend had to be postponed.
Trees were scheduled to be planted at the Llanfwrog Centre in Ruthin last Saturday.
However, the organisers of the event had been informed by the Woodland Trust that due to ongoing national transport challenges, this autumn's tree pack delivery is now facing significant delays.
The Woodland Trust said: "We're sorry for any disappointment but the delay is unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control.
"We are aiming to have as many packs as possible delivered by the end of November."
Llanfwrog Centre and the Ruthin Friends of the Earth group hope that the trees will arrive in time for a re-scheduled planting date of Saturday, November 27.
