TWO cadets from the Prestatyn Army Cadet Force have been selected by their commanding officer to work closely with the mayor during her 2021/22 term.
The cadets have been chosen to represent the Prestatyn Army Cadet Force for their work within the group and in the Community.
Lance Corporal Owen Davies is a pupil at Eirias High School in Colwyn Bay and the reserve cadet, Lance Corporal TJay Horsefield, is a pupil at Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St Asaph.
Cllr Sharon Frobisher, mayor of Prestatyn and Meliden, said: "This is something the town council have thought about for some time.
"We were delayed due to all the problems with Covid.
"It was good to meet the Cadets on Remembrance Sunday, and I look forward to working closely with them during my term in office."
A special badge has been made by the town council for the cadets to wear on their uniform.
Next year, Prestatyn Air Cadets will take over the role for 12 months.
