THERE will be no rise in the precept figure in a Vale of Clwyd town for the fourth year in a row.
Following on from a special meeting of Denbigh Town Council held last week, councillors unanimously agreed to retain the precept figure for the town council at £66 per band D property.
This will be the fourth year at the same figure.
Denbigh mayor Cllr Rhys Thomas said: "The present town council prides itself on having kept the precept on the same level for the past four years.
"We have been aware of the financial pressure that families are under and food prices, fuel, county council tax is rising, so we decided unanimously to keep the precept the same.
"We have done that by being very careful with our spending, but still being able to make sure we're able to give a service to the people of Denbigh.
"We are able to maintain the services we provide and still support local organisations."
