DENBIGHSHIRE schoolchildren have been helping the Urdd to become a record breaker!
Last week, the organisation celebrated its 100th anniversary by breaking two world records.
The Urdd broke the records for the most videos of people singing the same song uploaded to Facebook in one hour (461) and the most videos of people singing the same song uploaded to Twitter in one hour (1,176).
Supervised by adjudicator Louise Toms, the organisation achieved this milestone for their centenary by singing 'Hei Mistar Urdd!'.
The participants were invited to sing and upload their videos to Twitter and Facebook between 10.45 and 11.45am on January 25.
Schools from across the region helped out in the record attempt and among those who took part in the 100th anniversary celebrations were pupils from Ysgol Bro Cinmeirch, in Llanrhaeadr.
"We wanted to do something really significant to mark and celebrate the Urdd’s centenary, and it needed to be something that could involve all our members, past and present," said Urdd chief executive Sian Lewis.
"Achieving two Guinness World Records was just the thing. Thank you to everyone who took part and diolch Guinness World Records for the titles."
