IT'S been a while, but Dee Valley performers are finally getting ready to take to the stage again... for the first time in two years!
Llangollen Operatic Society is bringing to the stage its production of Little Shop of Horrors next week.
This will be performed at Llangollen Town Hall.
Running from next Wednesday, March 30 until April 2, with two performances on the concluding Saturday, it is set to be performed by the society's Young Uns section.
Producer Pamela Williams said: "This will be our first production back since 2020 where we did The Wizard of Oz just prior to lockdown so everyone is looking forward to it and it will be wonderful for the community who haven't had any live musical theatre since February 2020."
The show is being directed by Robin Crowley and Jo Lloyd, with Julian Catley the musical director, all of whom have done popular shows for the society's Young Uns group.
"The cast is very small and consists of 10 of our older members who are very experienced and currently working hard," added Pamela.
Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years.
Howard Ashman and Alan Menken are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names 'Audrey II' - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, blood!
