A VALE of Clwyd group is appealing for help ahead of a busy summer.
Denbigh in Bloom is preparing for visits from two sets of judges next month.
At 1pm on Thursday, July 7, judges from Wales in Bloom will be in the town.
Then, in Denbigh from 9am on Thursday, July 28 will be Britain in Bloom judges.
Denbigh in Bloom chair Lyndsey Tasker said: "Judges will be physically attending Denbigh for both judgings this year so the pressure is on!
"We are facing a couple more issues this year than we usually do in that we have fewer volunteers than in normal years, so would greatly appreciate anything anyone can do to assist us.
"This could be something as simple as every business brushing, weeding and clearing outside their business premises.
"If residents can do the same outside their homes then it means we have a greater chance of the competition being successful."
Denbigh in Bloom is eager to maintain its gold standard, but it understands a lot of hard work is needed to achieve this.

"Volunteers will be out over the next three weeks working as hard as we can to ensure the displays and judging route is in tip-top condition," added Lyndsey.
"The route will commence from the town hall, proceed along the High Street to Bridge Street and then back up to Temple Bar Gardens via Broomhill Lane.
"Once the judges have had time in the gardens we will work our way back down to the High Street and along to Vale Street. At this point we will drive down and along to the roundabout opposite ATS.
"After this, it's onto the bed at Trewen and then finally finishing back at the town hall."
Total judging time is expected to be somewhere in the region of three hours.
Lyndsey added: "We are judged on everything along the route - even things we have no control over like private residences.
"We need help in lots of ways - it's not just gardening!
"Most importantly, we started the Denbigh in Bloom / Dinbych yn Blodeou project to make a difference to our town and community.
"That's the essence of what we do and why we do it, the competitions are just an added bonus."
