ONE show down... and one to go!
Last week saw the return of the Denbigh and Flint Show and now the Denbigh Show is all set to make its reappearance.
It will be held at its Ystrad Road site on Saturday, August 27, starting at midday.
Denbigh Show secretary Steve Williams said: "This year’s show will burst with energy, offering an interesting range of activities and displays to suit all age groups from pre-school to pensioners.
"We have two big arena displays this year.
"The Mighty Smith Show features Adrian Smith, former UK Strongest Man winner and World's Strongest Man finalist presenting his show full of family fun, humour and audience participation.
"He takes everything in his stride - tearing up Argos books; bending six inch nails in his teeth; holding a chair with a seated lady on it in his teeth and also presents a children’s tug of war with prizes."
The main arena will also see the Dangerous Steve Show, which will include chainsaw juggling, a giant unicycle, ladder balancing and blindfold motorcycle riding.
At the show there will also be owls and a falconry display, while the Wizard of Conwy will be lurking around the field.
The Denbigh Community Archive Group will be holding a local history exhibition in the main marquee and this year’s theme is Denbigh sports.

Mr Williams added: "Our Strictly Fun Dog Show is going from strength to strength and was a popular draw of the crowds last time.
"It’s free to enter and fun, not formal.
"We are now giving out more prizes decided by our special ‘panel’. Loads of fun to be expected in the ring and anything can happen!"
Lots of side shows on the day will include a treasure trail, junior roll the barrel, Punch & Judy, glitter art, a fun fair and over 50 classic cars and bike displays. There will be local honey to try with a tasting competition and there will be another chance to sample the best of local culinary delights in the food hall.
"After the success of introducing ‘slot car’ racing last time, we are now expanding with a circuit for remote control cars, where you can come and try your hand at steering around the tracks to see if you can get up the leaderboard," added Mr Williams.
"The much loved flower show celebrates its 78th year, with almost 300 classes will offer all aspects of horticulture, floristry, art, handicraft, cookery and photography not only for experienced competitors but also for novices and children to participate in.
"For younger competitors there are dedicated sections with many fun topics which make ideal summer holiday activities.
"In addition to the prize money for the winners, there are over 60 cups and trophies, including one that is voted for by the general public."
Admission to the Denbigh Show will be £7 for adults and £5 for senior citizens, with children admitted free of charge.
There is free parking on site, with a half-hourly Denbigh circular shuttle bus from 12.30pm,
