A DENBIGHSHIRE firm is asking youngsters to pick up their pens and to get adventurous!
Fresh off the back of announcing their corporate silver membership with Mold's Theatr Clwyd, Ruthin business Chilly Cow Ice Cream has launched a creative writing competition in partnership with the theatre.
The lucky winner will receive a VIP theatre experience including four tickets to the Famous Five Musical, which opens on September 23.
Anna Taylor, director of Chilly Cow, said: “We are so proud to be able to support Theatr Clwyd with our corporate membership after they have supported us for so long as a supplier.

"We want to promote the arts and theatre to young people from all walks of life, to showcase the value that comes from a theatre experience and what better way than getting the children exploring their own creativity with our competition.
"We hope that our support helps Theatr Clwyd in their new development and expansion and we are excited to be involved in their journey.”
Chilly Cow is inviting children aged between six and 14 years to write an adventure story of up to 500 words for the Famous Five characters George, Julian, Anne, Dick, and Timmy the Dog, but they must include Chilly Cow Ice Cream somewhere in their story.
Chilly Cow are also excited to reveal that joining the judging panel are local chef Bryn Williams and his wife Sharleen Spiteri, frontwoman of international rock band Texas.
Both live locally to Chilly Cow and were keen to get involved in promoting creativity and the arts with children.
Sharleen said: “The art of storytelling has formed history, hopes, dreams and folklore, without it we are a grain of sand that can disappear oh so easily.
"We must always work hard to keep the writing alive and relevant to the generations to come!"
Children need to head to the website at www.chillycow.co.uk/ theatr-clwyd-famous-five-competition where all entry details and the application form are available to download.
Entries close at midnight on Friday, August 26.
