RUTHIN Farmers' Auction reports sales of 1,167 prime lambs to £123 / 286.1ppk and 482 ewes to £110.
Prime lambs (auctioneer-Rich Lloyd):
A total of 1,167 lambs forward of mixed quality, nevertheless there was a customer for every shape and size.
Medium and heavy lambs held their own.
Over 750 in the standard and lights category on the day, all keenly bid for from 190ppk to 225ppk.

Another excellent weekly entry of 359 store cattle on the day.
A very busy day in the cattle section again with quality and stronger cattle a flying trade.
A packed ringside of buyers ensured a fair trade for all.
A total of 116 heifers topped at £1690 for a 32 month Lim from G B Jones Ltd, Fron Bella.

A blistering trade! New and buyers from afar were present with competitive bidding throughout.
There was 35 per cent sold to over 500gns with top price going to Smith, Plas Llanychan selling a yearling to 1000gns.

RUTHIN Farmers' Auction reports sales of 2,021 prime lambs to £139 / 313.2ppk and 461 ewes to £150.
Prime lambs (auctioneer-Elfor Morris):
A tally of 2,021 lambs to a stronger trade, in particular the standards and lights.
SQQ was 237ppk.
Meanwhile, 512 standards weight lambs averaging 36.5kg returning a per head average of £85 all through or 232ppk.
Lights also sharper at 228ppk and 1,103 medium weights at 239ppk or £101 per head and the best of the heavies back up to the £130s mark.
