PEOPLE turned out in force to get into the Christmas spirit in a Vale of Clwyd town.
Ruthin was a hive of activity on Saturday for a day of festive fun in the town.
Organised by Ruthin Forward, the event culminated with the switching on of this year's Christmas lights in the town.
Kicking-off the big day, there was a Christmas market and musical entertainment at St Peter's Square.
At 5pm, Ruthin Mayor Cllr Menna Jones carried out the function of turning on the Christmas lights.

That wasn't quite the end of the excitement, though.
After this, trucks took centre stage during the hugely popular convoy of lights.
Further festive events are scheduled for Ruthin and the surrounding areas over the next few weeks.
Continuing the Christmas theme, a Santa's grotto is scheduled over two weekends at the Old Courthouse.
The grotto will be on December 10 and 11, and then the weekend of December 17 and 18.
Booking is required for this event.
In addition, a Christmas tractor run will be taking place in mid-December.
Taking place on Sunday, December 18, this tractor run will be raising funds for the DPJ Foundation and Epilepsy Wales.
It will begin from Ruthin Farmers' Auction at 10am and the tractor run will return at around 1.45pm.
