THE MS for Clwyd West says Levelling Up funding announced for Ruthin can 'benefit' both local residents and visitors alike.
The Denbighshire town has been announced as one of 11 places/projects in Wales that will receive money from the latest round of the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund.
The bid is worth almost £11 million and will pay for improvements to the townscape of Ruthin, as well as providing new community facilities in the villages of Bryneglwys and Gwyddelwern and visitor facilities at Moel Famau and Loggerheads.
Clwyd West MS Darren Millar believes that this is 'just the boost the area needs'.

He said: “This is great news for Clwyd West and Ruthin in particular which will see huge improvements to the town as a result of this funding.
“These improvements will not only benefit locals, but by creating open spaces will make the town more appealing to visitors.
“The investment in neighbouring Moel Famau and Loggerheads will also encourage more visitors to the area.
“After a challenging few years due to the pandemic, this is just the boost the area needs.
“I know a great deal of work has gone into securing this funding and I would like to thank all those who have been involved in the bidding process.”
