Ruthin Repair Café has made one dog very happy, while the venture has also fixed its 500th item.
The repair café’s February event at Ruthin's Naylor Leyland Centre had a visit from Monty the dog and his owner Lesley.
Monty quickly won over the hearts of everyone at the café.
He had been feeling the cold on his long walks, as his dog jacket was torn and badly needed repairing.
Fortunately, Sylvia Coles, one of the resident sewing "fixperts", was on hand and quickly came to the rescue.
Monty’s coat is just one in a long line of Sylvia’s repairs, which have included a Morris dancer’s hat, cricket pads and general clothing repairs.
She said: “I have always enjoyed mending, embroidery, knitting and making clothes.
"I love being part of the friendly team of volunteers who all have a common interest in recycling and repairing.
"Hopefully we make a difference to the local community.”

Sylvia has recently appeared in a national Friends of the Earth YouTube video explaining and promoting repair cafes.
The repair café has a committed team of ‘fixperts’ who repair a wide range of items, including furniture, electrical appliances, ceramics, clothing, sewing machines, jewellery, guitar, flutes and clarinets
This month, 47 items were registered of which 81 per cent were fixed.
There was a dramatic pause in the morning’s work as everyone gathered to watch and celebrate as the momentous 500th item was worked on: a bicycle, owned by Peter Daniels and repaired by Tim Cook.
As always, the friendly volunteers gave everyone a warm welcome, and while waiting for the "fixperts" to mend items, the ‘bake-off’ team tempted visitors with their homemade cakes and brownies.
Ruthin Repair Café is on the first Saturday of the month at the Naylor Leyland Centre.
The next one is on Saturday, March 4 (10.45am-1.30pm).
