AN energetic Vale of Clwyd enterprise turned out to be a popular one.
The Ruthin 10k and 5k races drew competitors from near and far, while there was also a one-mile children's fun run on the day.
The events were organised by Bespoke Fitness and Events, and Mathew Baker won the 5k event in a time of 17 minutes and 21 seconds.
This was just two seconds ahead of runner-up Alex Ryder (Prestatyn Running Club), while David Hinde (Chester Triathlon Club) crossed the line in third position in 17 minutes and 57 seconds.
