A HUGELY historic Denbigh building is set to open to the public for the first time in 10. years.
It has been known as The Forum, The Habit and the Talbot Inn and this Grade II-listed former coaching inn has been at the heart of Denbigh for 500 years.
After a four-year renovation, the upper floors of the building are now complete and will be open to the public on the weekend of March 11 and 12.
On the top floor are two holiday flats / short term accommodation with original Tudor features as well as all the modern comforts people would expect.
Meanwhile, on the first floor are two offices / meeting rooms for up to four people and an open plan office for larger teams.
The offices have their own tea bay and toilet facilities.
Access to both the flats and offices is via the stunning oak staircase believed to date to the 1680s.

Daniel Schraibman, co-owner of the Denbigh High Street building, said: “Many people have fond memories of the building and we have been thrilled to see the demand for tickets to tour the building has been so high.
"We want to give as many people as possible the chance to see the work that has been done before the holiday flats/short term accommodation and office space are offered for rent on 13th March and so have increased the number of places available on both days.
“We have really appreciated the encouragement of the local community during this construction phase.
"As well as very patient neighbours, we would like to thank the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Fund and Clocaenog Forest Wind Farm Fund for their generous support.
"The conservation and business teams at Denbighshire County Council have also been a huge help."
Mr Schraibman added: “During the four-year build, over 60 local people (including seven apprentices) have worked hard to get the building to this point.
"We can’t list them all here, but they know who they are, and we are very grateful to them.
“Although all the major structural and infrastructure work has been completed for the cafe, the fit-out will need to be done in the second phase of work.
"We will keep you posted as this progresses as we know there’s a lot of interest in seeing the café back open again.”
