IT'S going to be an exciting spell for a Denbighshire tourist attraction!
Ruthin Gaol is preparing to open its doors for the first time in two years on April 1.
Before then, though, the site will be playing host to a heritage showcase on Tuesday, March 28.
Running between 10.30am and 3.30pm, the showcase will offer people the chance to see a wide variety of displays from a number of organisations.
These will include the North East Wales Archives, Ruthin History Society, Corwen Museum, Buckley Society, Friends of Wrexham Cemetery, Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych and the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The day will also offer a chance for people to have a look around Ruthin Gaol before it officially opens on Saturday, April 1.
The gaol has undergone two years of flood recovery work in order to reopen.
The gaol basement has now been restored to reveal the magnificence of the original brickwork, while a new cell has also been developed, telling the story of the prisoners who were transported to Australia from Ruthin Gaol.
Visitors will also be able to explore more of the outside spaces of the gaol when it opens once more.
Philippa Jones, heritage site operations and development manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to open this fantastic attraction once again.
"Our team have worked tirelessly to make this possible and create new experiences for the season.
"It has been difficult keeping our spirits up at times when the favourite part of our job is to welcome people.
"We can’t wait to greet people through the doors again on April 1.”
