RESIDENTS are calling foul over something that's an increasing issue in a Vale of Clwyd town.
The subject of dog fouling is always a prominent one and Ruthin has its issues with this.
Deputy Ruthin mayor Anne Roberts said: "As far as I'm concerned, there's no monitoring.
"It's just the minority, but they have got free reign to do whatever they want."
Cllr Roberts said that while enforcement from the Kingdom company wasn't always popular, the firm did tackle the issue of dog fouling while supporting Denbighshire County Council.
"I thought Kingdom did their job," she added.
"Kingdom didn't go well, but it did have the desired effect."
Another issue of concern is dogs being allowed off their leads at a prominent Ruthin landmark.
"It is all over town, but my main concern is Cae Ddol," said Cllr Roberts.
"I have asked and asked for an order to be put in that park where dogs should be put on leads.
"It's just a minority who don't give a heck about anything else."

Cllr Emrys Wynne, who represents Ruthin on Denbighshire County Council, echoed these views.
He said: "Complaints about dog fouling continue as well as are complaints about some dog owners/walkers not having proper control of their dogs.
"One hopes that dog fouling incidents will fall as the evenings get lighter.
"The district enforcement team is aware of issues relating to dog fouling and some dogs not being kept under control by a few dog owners at Cae Ddol.
"The area is being monitored by the district enforcement team making more frequent visits to the park.
"Any incident that is witnessed by the team will be dealt with promptly."
A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council said: “Dog fouling remains an important priority for the council and we work closely with district enforcement alongside local members and the public to identity those who are offending.
“The majority of dog owners act responsibly and we would like to thank them for ensuring our communities remain clean and attractive for our residents."
