A DENBIGH woman who assaulted an elderly man after he refused to give her money for alcohol has been jailed.
Samantha Davies, 36, of Henllan Street, appeared before Mold Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday, March 30.
She had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage and one of actual bodily harm at Llandudno Magistrates on March 8, 2023.

Alexandra Carrier, prosecuting, told the court that the incident had began between 1pm and 2pm on August 13.

It was then that Davies had approached the home of the 72-year-old complainant in Denbigh.
The defendant was said to be drinking alcohol from a bottle and had asked the complainant for money to buy more.
He replied by saying that he didn't have much money and offered her £5, but she wanted more, the prosecution said.
Davies then left the address but returned later that night at some time between 7pm and 8pm.
A witness - whose house she had approached - then took her to the address she claimed was hers, but was in fact the complainant's.
He then saw what unfolded next as Davies smashed a glass panel on the complainant's home.
She then gained entry into the house, picking up a 'large magnifying glass' which was used to 'strike' the man in the face, leaving him with 'bruising to the eye'.
Another witness said that the defendant was 'visibly drunk' during the incident.
When police arrived, the complainant was holding his face, 'crying' and 'distressed' by what had happened.
When the defendant was arrested, she was found to be carrying a can of Henry Weston's cider and later admitted to having drank 'two bottles of wine' and two 'strong' beers.
Overall, £338.52 worth of damage was done to the complainant's home in the form of smashed windows.
Simon Killeen, defending, conceded that he had an 'uphill struggle' to keep his client out of jail.
However, he added that Davies was someone who was 'perfectly amenable' when sober and that she had 'taken steps' to address her issues.
Sentencing Davies, Judge Rhys Rowlands said the defendant had an 'appalling record' and that the 'court had bent over backwards' over the years in order to keep her out of jail.
However, this time he said an immediate custodial sentence was inevitable and Davies was subsequently sentenced to 15 months in jail, for the ABH alone, facing no further penalties for the criminal damage.
She was also handed a restraining order against the complainant for a period of five years.
Judge Rowlands concluded: "This was an attack on an obviously vulnerable victim."
