A CHALLENGING time awaits in Gwynedd next month.
This year's Bala Challenge charity walk is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 13.
This is a charity walking event organised by the Rotary Club of Bala & Penllyn.
The energetic event welcomes groups and individual walkers, who are invited to raise funds for their own chosen charity or good cause through sponsorship.

On May 13, the walk starts at Penllyn Leisure Centre, Bala, between 8am and 10.30am.
The route will through woods, over farmland, moorland and hillside following waymarked and recognised paths.
Three different events will provide for all levels of walking experience and abilities.
The shortest of these is an eight-mile walk to Llanuwchllyn (with the option of return by narrow gauge heritage railway).
In addition, there's also a 14-mile circuit of Llyn Tegid returning to Bala on foot, while for the most enthusiastic, there's a 20-mile ‘Challenge’ route which includes a section of the Aran mountain ridge.
