FLOWERS that were planted in Denbigh just a month ago have been stolen, as the supposed ‘phantom plant stealer’ strikes again.
Plants from a flowerbed in the town have been stolen just a month after being planted, as Denbigh prepares for the Wales in Bloom competition.
This comes after work the Denbigh in Bloom group carried out in Temple Bar Gardens was vandalised in April, which may have “jeopardised” their entry.

A spokesperson for Denbigh in Bloom said on social media: “The phantom plant stealer strikes again!
“These planters were only refreshed a month ago, but already someone (or two!) with no ethics, morals or community spirit has seen fit to thieve two plants.
“We have to raise funds to buy these, they aren't free but we work bloody hard to access grants and sponsorships to make town look fabulous.
“Having done all that, we then give our time to plant them and tend them.
“If you want nice plants, speak to Graham at Greenfingers. Don't steal from your community.”
