A MEDIEVAL-themed charity event hosted by property developer Rob Lloyd was declared a "resounding success."

The event, which saw participants dress up in medieval attire and take part in a march from Tal Y Fan to Denbigh Castle, marked Mr Lloyd's 30th fundraising challenge as part of the ongoing 'Rob's Senseless Challenge' campaign.

Mr Lloyd, CEO of Bearmont Group and former Channel 4 Secret Millionaire, has already raised more than £110,000 for Sense through his previous challenges.

The fundraiser commenced at Tal Y Fan, a historic building that Bearmont Group has renovated into a respite centre for Sense, providing short breaks and support to individuals with complex disabilities and their families.

Mr Lloyd, who is from Rhos-on-Sea, said: "The building has lent itself well for this purpose and will hopefully serve as a popular hub for families in need of the facilities and care offered.

The medieval-themed event brought together various participants, including 15 pupils from Rydal Penrhos School, 10 adults in medieval attire (including Simon Brown from Bearmont, Phil Burton from Lloyds Bank, Stephen Wright, ex-Liverpool FC player, actor Jack Marsden, David Armitage and Jonathan Morris from Gateley Legal, Jon Stubbs from Sense, Mia Lloyd Bearmont, and Paul Carter from 365 Ltd).

Representatives from the council, including Gerald Thomas, Becky Williams, and Vice Chair Peter Scott and his wife, joined the march.

Vale of Clwyd MP Dr James Davies also attended and had a guided tour of the centre.

Following the march, 70 pupils from Ysgol Twm or Nant, Denbigh, were entertained by the Conwy Jester.

The event was made possible by generous donations from sponsors, including Lloyds Bank, PMJ Capital, Gateley Legal, and Bearmont Group, who contributed £25,000 through a cheque presented on the day.

The Knight Shop from Mochdre provided costumes for the participants and also donated a 25-carat gold-plated sword for the charity auction.

Mr Lloyd added: "The event was a resounding success, and we are thrilled with the incredible turnout and support we received.

"The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with complex disabilities and their families."

Dr Davies said: "Rob has raised a fantastic amount of money for such a worthy cause and I was extremely pleased to be invited to join him at his event. It was great to see so many in attendance.

"The transformational renovation work at Tal Y Fan is nearing completion and it is clear to see what an excellent facility this will be providing respite for people with complex needs and their families."
