A MOTHER-OF-TWO has launched a new antenatal, pregnancy and motherhood classes business for prospective and new mothers.
Laura Whitley, from Old Colwyn, has launched her own business, Happy Bump and Baby, which is based in St Asaph.
Ms Whitley has been running baby classes since 2016 and trained as an antenatal teacher in 2017 with the Daisy Foundation Denbighshire and Conwy, which until recently offered birthing and baby classes in St Asaph and Llandudno.
Laura, a mum to two boys, first got into antenatal classes by attending them with her youngest (who is eight) after a “traumatic” first pregnancy experience with her 10-year-old

“I’m hugely passionate about supporting women through their early motherhood journey,” Ms Whitley said.
“I run a range of classes and workshops from pregnancy, through babyhood, and up to preschool that provide a sense of community and support, and empower women to advocate for themselves and make the best decisions for them and their baby through informed choice and evidence based information.
“Although I’m sad that the Daisy Foundation will be no more, I’m so proud of the local community we’ve built up across Denbighshire and Conwy over the years.
"I’m so very grateful for all of the wonderful women I’ve met over the years, many of which have returned to classes when they have more children for second, third and even fourth babies."
Her new venture will be based in St Asaph, at the Eat Train Live fitness studio on St Asaph Business Park.
The business will offer new outdoor mindfulness and forest bathing sessions, toddler yoga, a ‘starting solids’ workshop, as well as established birthing, tinies, wrigglers and cruisers sessions.
Laura added: “I’m really excited to continue teaching in St Asaph under my own brand Happy Bump and Baby.
“I asked on social media for mums who have attended my classes to use one word to describe how my classes made them feel and the most common answers were ‘happy’, ‘happiness’ and ‘happy place’. So Happy Bump and Baby was born.
“All of the pregnancy and baby classes that are so well known and loved will continue.
“Over the next few months I’ll be adding more workshops and postnatal classes so that I can support local women on as much of their early motherhood journey as possible.”
