TRIBUTES have been paid to the former president of the Denbigh & Flint Show who has died.
Elwyn Tudor died on Thursday, 27 July.
Mr Tudor was a former president of the popular Denbigh & Flint Show, as well as a long-serving Livestock Committee member and the Superintendent of the Cattle Section.
The news of his death was confirmed via a social media post to by the show organisers, which read: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Mr Elwyn Tudor, Henllan.
“Elwyn was a past president and also a long-serving Livestock Committee member and Superintendent of the cattle section.
“He will be sorely missed and we send our deepest sympathy to Mrs Dyfyr Tudor and the family.”
Other tributes to the man poured in, with one person writing: “Elwyn was always supportive and endlessly helpful to us in the show office during my tenure, and led from the front along with Dyfyr in the cattle section at showtime.
“He gave selflessly to the society and also ensured continuity to the section by encouraging younger stockpersons to become involved. Sincerest condolences to the family at this sad time.”
Others said he was a “true gentleman” and that it would be a “true and a big loss to Dyfyr and the family.”
