A NEW TRAILER of the hotly-anticipated second series of the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary has been released today (August 10).

The first season - which aired on Disney Plus last year - proved to be a huge success.

That followed the story of the magical takeover of the club by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - and helped put Wrexham on the map all around the world.

Season one shone a spotlight on the club's rollercoaster history, as well as some of the devoted characters who follow the Reds week in, week out.

And, while that series ended in heart-break as the Reds missed out on promotion, season two promises to be a much happier spectacle.

That is because Wrexham finally earned promotion back to the English Football League following a 15-year absence back in April, with a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood also securing the National League title.

A new trailer for the upcoming season - airing on September 12 via Disney Plus - has now been released.

It shows some very familiar faces from season one - including Turf landlord Wayne Jones and much-loved painter Shaun Winter.

It also gives a glimpse of how the documentary and the takeover have helped business 'boom' in Wrexham.

Rob hails 'Wrexham as a club' and 'as a town' as 'the underdogs', while Ryan adds: "I look at Wrexham as the most special gift I've ever had in my life."

There are a number of moments to watch out for in season two (aside from the title win!).

You may just spot Hollywood stars Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd along the way, as well as a Racecourse visit from King Charles III and American rock legends Kings of Leon.
