A CYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital after an incident on the A543 in Denbighshire this afternoon (October 6).
This was between Denbigh and Bodfari, and caused the road to close.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the crash, which involved a pedal cycle and a tractor that was towing a trailer.
North Wales Police said: "A male pedal cyclist has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries following the collision which occurred on the A541 Bodfari shortly before 4pm.
"Officers are particularly keen on speaking to the driver of a small white van or car that has left the scene but who may have witnessed the collision."
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Crime Unit said: “We are urging the driver of the small white van or car to make contact with us as soon as possible as they may have key information that could assist with our investigation.
“The road is currently closed whilst the emergency services deal with the incident and we thank the local community and motorists for their patience and understanding.”
