A GRADE II listed pub in Denbigh has been given a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
The Vaults, formerly known as the Old Vaults, at 40-42 High Street, was given the minimum score after assessment on September 13.
The pub, which closed for several years before going to auction in 2018, reopened in 2022.

The business’ hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of its facilities and building were rated ‘improvement necessary’.
The Vaults’ management of food safety, which refers to the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the confidence the food safety officer has that standards will be maintained in future, was rated ‘major improvement necessary’.
The Vaults was approached for comment.
