AN AWARD-WINNING Indian restaurant and takeaway in Corwen has received a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Abul’s Spice, at Central Court, The Square, was given the low score after assessment on September 12, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The result is even more surprising considering the restaurant won ‘Welsh Curry House of the Year’ in 2015, was named ‘Best Indian Establishment in Wales’ at the 2016 Food Awards, and even featured on the BBC series Curry Wars.
