A HOSPICE based in St Asaph has invited residents to remember their loved ones this Christmas with its annual “Light Up a Life” services.

St Kentigern Hospice’s “Light Up a Life” services help people come together to remember those no longer with us, and to celebrate their lives and share fond memories.

This year, St Kentigern will be hosting its first Light Up a Life service at the hospice itself, as well as numerous satellite services elsewhere.

The services will feature brass bands, carols and mince pies.

Sian Golding, fundraiser at St Kentigern, said: “The festive period is a time of celebration, but it can also be a difficult time of year when you are parted from your loved one.

“The Light Up a Life appeal gives people who have lost loved ones the opportunity to come together and remember them.

“As a hospice, we know that grief can be a very private process, but also that coming together at a service like Light Up a Life can be very supportive, reflective and unite us in our memories.”

The first Light Up a Life service will take place at St Kentigern Hospice, Upper Denbigh Road, St Asaph on November 30 at 5pm.

The evening will feature stories and readings from families and those close to the hospice, as well as carols by Fairholme Preparatory School.

Standing in front of the hospice will be a remembrance tree which will be lit during the service; each light representing a loved one no longer with us.

This is an outdoor event and due to the number of guests expected on the night, seating will be limited to those who are unable to stand for the duration of the service.

If you would like to be part of “Light Up a Life”, there are several ways to make your dedication and donate to St Kentigern Hospice:
