A HAIR SALON in Denbigh celebrated 30 years of business this month, saying “nothing would have been possible” without their staff and customers.
E-clipz Hairdressing, at Back Row, was opened by Ceri Jones on November 4, 1993 when Ceri said she was a “little naïve but keen”.
The business has gone from strength to strength, starting with just Ceri and one other member of staff to at one point hiring eight stylists.
Now a team of five, including her daughter, the salon celebrated its pearl anniversary with a visit to an escape rooms in Liverpool.
Looking back on 30 years, Ceri told the Denbighshire Free Press: “I basically started the business from scratch at the age of 25, having spent a couple of years doing a mobile round.

“Saw a premises which I thought was a perfect location for a hairdressers being just off the high street with public parking on the doorstep, which was free back then!
“My manageress has been with me for 27 years, another started with me as an apprentice who is still with me 22 years on, another for 15 years and my daughter joined the team eight years ago.
“I’m proud to have been able to employ and train many talented stylists along the way, but without the support of all our clients old and new and many sadly no longer with us, none of this would have been possible.
“I still love my job and hope to continue for as long as I’m able to and who knows, my daughter may take it forward for the next 30?”
