THERE was plenty of festive cheer in Denbigh at the weekend as the town's Christmas lights were switched on for the first time this year.
The event, held on Friday evening (November 24), saw hundreds of people go along to enjoy the festive fun at Denbigh Town Hall.

Along with the illumination of the centre’s Christmas tree, several food and drinks stalls provided some warmth for those braving the cold.
There was also a choir performance, carol singing, and people in fancy dress as the town officially kickstarted the festive season.
