The town's lights for the festive season were switched-on Saturday, December 2 by cllr Anne Roberts, mayor of Ruthin.
Cllr Roberts was accompanied by Cadet Corporal Ffion Jones.
"I switched the lights on and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," Cllr Roberts said.
"People turned out in some numbers, on a cold but dry evening.
"The tree looked stunning and Ysgol Borthyn choir, the children of Ysgol Stryd y Rhos, Ruthin Panto and Meibion Marchan entertained.
"There is such a wealth of local talent.
