MEET Caitlin Taylor, Linda Williams-Nicholas and Catherine Henderson who all gave birth to their bundles of joy on the most magical day of the year!
Caitlin, Linda and Catherine have shared what it is having a baby on Christmas day and how they have combined two celebrations in one day.
Caitlin Taylor
Abigail was born at exactly midnight on Christmas Day at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
The youngster will be turning four-year-old this Christmas.
Caitlin Taylor, who lives in Llandudno and has husband Jason, Emily 11, William, aged eight, and Charlotte who is almost seven, said: "We love that we have a Christmas day baby!
"As she was born so close to Christmas Eve, we have tried different ways to celebrate each year. In 2020 we gave her birthday presents on Christmas day and in 2021, we tried celebrating her birthday on Christmas Eve instead.
"Last year we celebrated on Christmas Day again but this year we are doing her birthday on Christmas Eve and we think we will stick to that until she understands more and can decide what she wants to do.
"We will always make sure that whenever she celebrates, it will be as special, if not more special than any other people's birthdays!
"It's the most wonderful and busy time of year for us as a family of six," Caitlin added.
"Abigail's big sister Charlotte turns seven-year-old on December 29 and my mum's birthday is New Year's Eve.
"We wouldn't change it for the world. Abigail is our little Christmas pudding.
"The midwives couldn't believe she arrived at exactly midnight. Her head and her body came out at exactly midnight.
"Abigail definitely waited until Christmas day!"
Linda Williams-Nicholas
Linda Williams-Nicholas's daughter is turning 30-years-old this year. The Free Press reported at the time how Linda had her "best-ever Christmas present" when she gave birth to Gwenan at home.
Linda now lives in Abergele whilst Gwenan lives in Denbigh with new fiancé Ben.
Looking back on that very special Christmas morning, Linda said: "I didn’t want to go to hospital as we had three other young children at home.
"It is special having a Christmas Day baby but I also feel sorry as Gwenan has all her presents on Christmas Day.
"A few also forget as Christmas is special to everyone and everyone is so busy, so I make sure I’ve got her birthday card and pressie early."
With it being Gwenan's special birthday this year, Ben wanted to surprise her and planned a special weekend in the Lake District to surprise her with an engagement ring.
However, things didn't exactly go to plan.
Linda said: "Ben decided to take Gwenan away on December 2 to a nice hotel in Lake Windermere.
"As they were travelling, the snow was coming down heavily and unfortunately the car slid on the snow and crashed. They had to leave the car, many others did the same, and they hiked four-miles through thick snow to the hotel. At this stage some people were being put up in community centres.
"As soon as they checked in, Ben proposed. He had been scared about losing the ring after having to carry all their luggage.
"The car was badly damaged but thank goodness they were both safe."
Linda added: "I look back to that very special Christmas morning, having a home birth whilst the three other children - Sian, Nia and Gareth - were opening their Christmas presents.
"I still to this day remember the girls having bikes and Gareth had a tractor.
"Thirty years has gone so fast. I have very happy memories."
Catherine Henderson
Catherine Henderson's baby made a surprise appearance on Christmas Day 2020!
However, Catherine and her husband Chris had been expecting a girl - and yet a little boy made his arrival into the world!
Catherine, who runs Mini Mozarts North Wales, and Chris were "totally shocked" but "completely overwhelmed with love" for their baby who they named Benjamin.
Catherine, of Rhyl, said: "The birth itself was magical and everything I'd hoped for in my previous two births. Despite the pandemic, I had a lovely water birth in the Midwifery Led Unit (MLU) in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
"As our third child, the last thing we wanted for him was to be born on Christmas Day as we were all too aware what a big day it already is! He was due on December 13 and I had an induction booked for Boxing Day.
"Benjamin had his own ideas though and he actually loves that 'my birthday is Christmas'.
"At our 20 week scan, we found out the gender of our baby. Due to the pandemic, baby clothes were scarce and we hadn't kept much from our older children. So to be prepared, they told us we were expecting a girl."
Catherine, who has children Mary, 12, and William, aged eight, added: "Benjamin will be three this year.
"When Benjamin arrived, it took us a few days to pick a name!
"Mary and William still say that Benjamin was the best Christmas present ever.
"Benjamin is very excited about his birthday this year - he tells everyone 'my birthday is Christmas'.
"We split the day - morning is Christmas and then we have Christmas lunch, and while the children play with their new toys, I set up the lounge for Benjamin's birthday. After lunch - it is birthday time.
"I'm sure over the years this may change. Benjamin is going to have his first party this year, in January, with his little friends and we usually have a little family second Christmas/birthday party on Boxing Day for him."
