HUNDREDS of people lined the square in Denbigh for some festive fun on Boxing Day.
The town's traditional Roll the Barrel competition - the 63rd to be held - took over Denbigh High Street, with plenty of thrills and spills.
There were competitors from Llangollen, Prestatyn, Bodfari - and even Washington DC - as well as a strong turn out from Denbigh.
The crowds cheered as the the men's, women's and team heats and finals were run around the course marked with straw bales.
Meanwhile, just around the corner, the junior races were run - on a smaller track with smaller barrels of course!
Preceding the races, there was a parade of vintage tractors as well as the annual visit of the Flint and Denbigh Hunt.z
The race staters were Denbigh Rotary Club President Walter Roberts and Deputy Mayor Catherine Jones
The MC this year was Rotarian Ifor John Jones, assisted by Y Tri Digri Glyn Owens, John Sellers and Dilwyn Pierce, who entertained the crowds as they guided them through the morning's events.
Once again, the event organised by the Rotary Club of Denbigh that has become a festive fixture for many families, proved to be a huge hit.
