AN OUTDOOR shelter at a school in Denbigh has suffered “significant damage” as Storm Isha continues to hit the region.
Ysgol Y Parc, a primary school, was hit by the damage this morning (January 22).
A yellow weather warning is in place across North Wales, with winds of up to 80mph battering Denbighshire.
In a statement, the school said: “We have some significant damage to the outdoor shelter on the reception side.
“Until we have had the site checked this morning for safety, please can all reception parents take their children to the main yard where the teachers will wait on the veranda.”
Storm Isha has caused train cancellations and damage to homes and businesses.
No school closures have been confirmed in Denbighshire today.
Elsewhere, fallen trees have caused blockages by Denbigh Cemetery and St Brigid's School.
