A FIVE-MILE stretch of the A483 in Wrexham is closing later today (Tuesday, January 23) amid forecasted high winds.
Traffic Wales has said that the carriageway will close in both directions between J1 Ruabon and A5 Gledrid roundabout.
This is due to forecasted high winds of Storm Jocelyn impacting the Dee and Ceiriog viaducts.
Motorists are facing a lengthy diversion route, via the A539 and A5 in Llangollen and B5070. This is due to the B5605 Newbridge Road landslip.
Over the weekend, Llangollen faced heavy congestion as motorists were diverted off the A483 due to Storm Isha.
Residents said the town was "gridlocked" on Sunday afternoon due to the extra traffic.
A Yellow weather warning for wind is in place from 4pm today until tomorrow afternoon.
