FORMER Love Island contestant Amber Davies scored the highest score of the series during tonight's Dancing on Ice.
Amber, of Denbigh, and her pro-skating partner Simon Proulx-Senecal performed the cha cha cha to Michael Buble’s Sway.
Asked about the risks she took with the bold routine, the West End star, who attended Ysgol Glan Clwyd is St Asaph, said: “I am a bit of a daredevil, my mum and dad had a nightmare with me when I was younger.”
Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean each awarded Amber a score of 8.5, giving the couple a total of 34 out of 40.
Oti said: "I love your attention to detail. You took all my notes and just ran with it."
Jayne said: "Obviously a beautiful performance. It was so sharp, so together. Did not miss a beat."
Christopher said: "The routine speaks for itself but what I love is the transitions. They way you transition from highlight to highlight and you don't see it coming. It is creative and different."

Ashley said: "It one thing to be static on the ice but it something else to take that into the skating into the routine, into the lifts and the way you did that so fluidly and the extensions and the lines and the energy and the presentation of it all was just incredible. Just keep doing that, please."
Amber and Simon made it through to Musical Week.
The skate-off was between comedian Lou Sanders [with partner Brendyn Hatfield] and Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney [with partner Colin Grafton]. Claire and Colin were sent home.
Earlier in the night, Claire revealed she had suffered a sprained rib; a last-minute change had to be made to the routine.
There will be a double elimination next week.
Judge Ashley will be away next week while he is on the Diversity tour. He will be replaced by American Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir - who will also be performing.
