A NORTH Wales pub has confirmed it will remain closed for four-months as it undergoes refurbishment.
Owned by Robinsons Brewery and Country Village Inns LTD, the company will be investing over £1.5 million into the Bridge End, Llangollen.
The work includes a full refurbishment of seven letting rooms, new bathrooms, a function room, a new kitchen and a larger, more open bar area.
The pub closed last month with work being predicted to take until the end of July. A reopening date will be confirmed nearer the time.
Matthew Cooper, Managing Director of Country Village Inns LTD, said: "Having the Bridge End join the company is amazing news. We are looking forward to seeing the finished product.
"I grew up with my grandparents in West Wales so know how passionate the regulars are.
"I’m confident that everyone will be happy with the finished product and can’t wait to open the doors and welcome everyone back."

The traditional pub overlooks the River Dee and is a favourite spot among locals and tourists.
It was taken over by new management team Aspire Inns Pub Company in October 2023 with the intention to see how things go before any refurbishment plans were made.
All updates and plans to reopen will be shared on the Bridge End Facebook page.
