British Wool has announced its first major change to wool delivery services in Denbighshire for 15 years.
For a decade and a half, British Wool has had one central pickup site at L.E Jones Haulage on Brickfield Lane in Denbigh. However following a review it has now confirmed three new sites.
North East Wales deliveries for the 2024 season can be made at the following sites. All deliveries are by appointment only:
- Alyn Lloyd, Bathafarn Farm, Ruthin, LL15 2YA until November 30. Contact 07470 616821 or 07796 272472
- Corwen Farmers Ltd, Station Yard, Corwen, Denbighshire, LL21 0EG, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Contact 01686 626040 (Newtown depot).
- Gareth & Lowri Evans, Bron Haul, Henllan, Denbigh, LL16 5DE until October 31. Contact 07787 522074 or 07876 232351.
Gareth Jones, Head of Member Engagement said: "We thank all at LE Jones for their hard work and service to members over the last 15 years.
"Following a detailed review we have decided to offer three new sites, one at Bathafarn Farm near Ruthin, one at agricultural merchants Corwen Farmers in Corwen and one in Henllan near Denbigh.
"This will hopefully make things easier and more convenient for our members across the county when they need to drop their wool off with us.
"If anyone has any questions or requires any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Newtown depot on 01686 626040."
